EPILOGUE
SIX MONTHS LATER
Renee parked into the driveway and took her groceries out of the car, and walked to the apartment. She set her bags down and opened the door. She went in, put her bags on the counter and walked out to get the mail from the mail box. She hastily put her perishable items into the refrigerator and sat down to look at the mail. She was very excited to get a letter from her Mom, the first in about two weeks.
Her Mom wrote that she was fine, but that she had been very busy. She had been promoted to Head Nurse at the hospital and had spent several hours training some newly-graduated nurses. She had received a nice raise in salary and had bought herself a much-needed new car. She also wrote that she was very excited that Renee could actually drive now and that she had a car that she really liked.
She said that Ria had been very sick for the last week or so and the Dr. had told them today that she was pregnant. Needless to say, she and Pierre were very pleased. Ria had asked her to tell Renee and to say she would talk with her very soon.
She said that Brandon was coming for a week next month and that she had asked Jim and Janet to come at the same time. She hoped that they would. She said that he had asked her to marry him but she just was not ready to make a commitment. She had just gotten a new job and Ria was there and that they would have a new baby, her first grandchild, to cuddle before long.
She just didnât think she wanted to leave Paris. Renee thought to herself that she was assuming that she would have to leave. âI wonder if Brandon would insist on her moving. Maybe she is just finding an excuse. Hmmâ I do wonder.â
She told Renee how proud she was of her taking the classes to become a Paralegal. She was so happy for her that the Condos were going to be ready sooner than they thought. It was exciting that they would be getting to move in before Thanksgiving. Anne said she missed her so much and asked if she could possibly come for a week when Riaâs baby was born. Renee was excited at the thought of âgoing homeâ to see her Mom and Ria and the new baby. She mentally calculated that she might possibly be able to ask for some time off about that time. Maybe Rob could also take off too so they could both go. She would be a lot happier to go if he went too as she really didnât want to be away from him.
Renee looked at her other mail and sorted it so as to keep the bills all in one place. Rob had been teaching her to do their personal and household bills and she had really been enjoying it. He had
